Angraf 6-2010 Lokomotywa SM 03

Fablok 2D (another designation: SM03 series) is a series of diesel shunting locomotives, which were produced in the years 1959-1969 at the Fablok plants in Chrzanów and Zastal in Zielona Góra. The service weight of a single locomotive was 24 tons, and its length with buffers - 6.94 m. The average of the wheels was 950 mm, with the B axis system.

The SM 03 series locomotive was designed at the "Tabor" Research and Development Center in Poznań. The aim was to create a shunting locomotive that is structurally simple and cheap to operate. Diesel engines were used as the drive: DSR 150 or 2 DSR 150, which had a rated power of 150 HP. The locomotive had a mechanical transmission, and its braking system was based on manual and air brakes in the so-called Knorr system. Production of this type of locomotives was carried out in Chrzanów since 1959, where they were designated as Ls150 and - after modernization - 2Ls150. From 1966, production was carried out at the plant in Zielona Góra, and two years later, modernized 409Da and 409D models, differing in performance and engine parameters, entered production. Interestingly, many locomotives of this type are still in operation.
