The Avia BH-5 was a Czechoslovak sports plane from the interwar period. The machine was built in a low-wing configuration with a classic, fixed undercarriage. The drive was provided by a single Anzani engine with 70 HP. Only a single copy of this plane was built.
Avia BH-5 was constructed by engineers: Pavel Benes and Miroslav Hajn as the successor of the BH-1 plane. The BH-5 model, compared to its predecessor, had a more solid structure, it was also larger. It also improved its aerodynamic properties. The machine, designed as a sports machine, was also capable of performing basic acrobatics. The plane turned out to be a very successful machine, and in 1923 the plane won the international aviation competition winning the King of Belgium award. It was the first success of this type of Czechoslovak aviation after the creation of this country! The BH-5 model also became the basis for the BH-9 and BH-10 versions developed for the Czechoslovak armed forces. In 2007, a flying replica of the Avia BH-5 was created.
The models are digitally printed - some adhesives can dissolve the ink!
Paint in digital printing can be dissolved by certain types of adhesives like butaprene and similar on the same solvents. Before bonding, it is advisable to try the adhesive used on a barely visible part of the model.
